A future without poverty is within walking distance.
Walk with us in Ottawa on March 7, 2017.
Women and girls in developing countries must walk an average of 10,000 steps every day to collect the basics their families need to survive – water, food and firewood. This leaves them little time to get an education or earn an income.
CARE is working to change that. And you can too by Walking In Her Shoes with us from Parliament Hill to City Hall on Tuesday March 7, 2017. It’s a fun way to spend your lunch hour with other people from the Ottawa community who want to make a difference a world away.
Location: Parliament Hill (ending at City Hall)
Date: Tuesday, March 7, 2017
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
This year, all funds raised will go towards CARE Canada’s Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies Initiative which is designed to give moms, families and health providers the tools they need to stop malnutrition. 45% of all deaths among children under 5 are caused by malnutrition. Our goal is to help change that. Empower girls and women around the globe by walking 10,000 steps. Start your challenge. Register now! ►
